The legendary former Manchester United boss had an emergency operation at the hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was discharged in June and has gone on to make a full recovery.The Sunday Times reports that at least two nurses are also being questioned after an audit of the computer system at Salford Royal.Investigators are said to suspect the staff were accessing Fergusons confidential notes to satisfy their personal curiosity.The case has been referred to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), which investigates data protection breaches. Dr Chris Brookes, chief medical officer for the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, which runs Salford Royal, told the newspaper: Investigations are ongoing to determine if the individuals have accessed a patients record electronically without a clinical requirement or authorisation to do so.Ferguson publicly thanked staff for the treatment he received in a video message released by Manchester United in June.He said: Believe me, without those people, who gave me such great care, I would not be sitting here today.
