Paul Scholes has been invited for a chat by his former Manchester United team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following his shock exit as Oldham manager.Scholes left the League Two side on Thursday, just 31 days after the 44-year-old agreed to take charge of the club he has supported since his youth.The former Red Devils midfielder appeared to suggest he had been misled by the Boundary Park hierarchy.Solskjaer did not appear entirely surprised by Scholes’ exit – and would welcome him at United’s Aon Training Complex.“Were you (surprised)?” caretaker United boss Solskjaer said with a smile.“Well, he’s probably got his reasons why he left. You’ve got to ask him (if he will go into management again). “He’s invited here if he wants to come and have a little chat about it.
