The FA charged the former Leeds midfielder with verbally abusing a match official on Monday.Now, Bowyers three-game touchline ban will see him watch crucial games against Doncaster, Portsmouth and Burton from the stands. An FA statement said: “Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer will serve a three-match touchline ban after using abusive and/or insulting language towards the match referee in both the 46th minute and following his dismissal during the EFL fixture against AFC Wimbledon on 23 February. He has also been fined 1,750.”The Addicks are fifth in League One and travel to promotion rivals Doncaster on Saturday.
